The simple answer is: Well, it depends. Now this may seem as a non-answer, however there are a multitude of reasons why the cost of a cleaning service would vary from home to home.
The most obvious factor would be square footage. There is a tendency to corollate the overall square footage of a home with cost per service. This would be erroneous, as it fails to account for the occupants of the home, as well as their needs. We can have two identical homes, yet the type of service would vary based on the home’s needs. Albeit a factor, square footage is only one metric in which we can properly adjudicate accurate cost per service. How much of your home do you use? This is rather open ended questions, yet it lends us the opportunity to view cost per service through the proper lens. Are there children in the home, pets, frequent guests, do you only need some areas serviced? These factors will help you determine what is the actual used square footage of your home, thus knowing which areas of your home must be service per visit. Special requests are another factor that comes into play. Would you need beds to made, linens to be changed? Most companies have this request bundled into the cost of the service, however it is important to ask as there could be additional charges incurred. Is there is a specific area/item that needs special attention? This may also affect the cost per service. As in any job, things happen. That is why it is important to ensure whomever you entrust to provide you with home cleaning services is properly licensed, bonded and insured. Your peace of mind is invaluable. Each home is intrinsically unique with its various idiosyncrasies. A good rule of thumb is to contact a company that is willing to make an in-home visit to provide you with an estimate. The current coronavirus outbreak has greatly affected all of us. We, not only as a local business, but as residents of this community, understand the impact that this situation has had on every aspect of our everyday lives. It is important for us to share the steps we are taking to ensure not only the well being of our customers, but of our staff as well.
We are monitoring the situation very closely, with especial attention being put to any news which may have a direct impact on our local community. We will closely follow guidelines laid out by the CDC, as well as other health organizations. Firstly, we have taken additional steps to ensure the health of our staff and customers by asking any staff members who is not well to please refrain from coming to work. We ,likewise, ask all of our customers that if they are experiencing any symptoms of illness, to please let us know. The service can be rescheduled or cancelled. The use of chlorine base disinfectants are part of our regular routine. However, chlorine based disinfectants are not practical for all aspects of the service. Thus, we have incorporated a non-chlorine disinfectant solution as part of our supplies. This solution will be utilized on areas of the home, such as doors, door handles, light switches, cabinet handles, etc. We will increase the use of disposable paper products, e.g. paper towels. Only cleaning cloths which have been properly disinfected will be utilized in each home. We have also incorporated the use of disposable gloves, as well as disposable shoe covers for all staff members. Every piece of equipment or tool will be properly disinfected prior and after each service. We will remain operational as long as we deem it safe for all of our staff and customers. If at any point, we can no longer make that guarantee we will cease all operations until further notice. A & G Cleaning Services is a family business.
